.Net Developer

TwinEngines, Inc. is an Atlanta based company that develops web portal, operations management, shop floor data collection, and mobility solutions for small and mid-market manufacturing and industrial services companies.  We are actively searching for aJunior Software Developerto join our team.

Your primary responsibility is to work directly with customers and with development tools for Windows Forms, Web, Mobile Clients, and Touch screen environments.  This is not a heads-down development position.  The candidate must enjoy a daily mix of development, project management, customer interaction, off-shore developer interaction, and senior management support on new sales activities.  Candidate must be comfortable with a small company’s independent, goal-oriented environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Customer relations skills to determine problems and document issues and requests
  • Ability to participate in full software development life cycle analyzing requirements and developing complete applications (code and documentation)
  • Microsoft Visual Studio (VB.Net, C#, ASP.Net) and SQL Server
  • Flexibility to work in a team environment or as an individual contributor in both short and long term projects
  • Bachelors degree

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Microsoft software development certifications
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure such as switches, routers, firewalls, and server setup and configuration
  • Basic knowledge of application hosting, such as SSL, DMZ and load testing

What you will be doing:

  • Communicating directly with customers to determine requirements, develop solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Delivering the right solution for the customer when given a diverse set of technologies and problems
  • Troubleshooting applications and performance issues
  • Developing new and exciting Windows and Web applications
  • Deploying code and testing code deployment
  • Updating support documentation
  • Working closely with offshore employees
  • Helping maintain TwinEngines infrastructure (Active Directory, Exchange, Team Foundation Server, SQL Server, Hyper-V Virtual Servers)

Software Applications Support Specialist

Your primary responsibility is to work directly with customers to maintain and enhance Windows and Web software applications.  Learn and work daily with a broad set of development styles including Windows Forms, Mobile Clients, and Touch screen environments, in addition to ecommerce, web portals, and dynamic content web sites.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Customer relations skills to determine problems and document issues and requests
  • Ability to participate in full software development life cycle analyzing requirements and developing complete applications (code and documentation)
  • Microsoft Visual Studio (VB.Net, C#, ASP.Net) and SQL Server

  • Bachelors degree, and at least 2 years of software engineering experience
